MSI introduces its first 10-inch with Intel‘s new Atom CPU and chipset Pine Trail. The Wind U135 is equipped with Atom 450 and GMA3150.
Typical for Intel‘s new chipset is the integration of graphics into the processor. This is increasing the energy requirements of the CPU, but decreases the overall power consumption. So at least with the conditions of the processor manufacturer Intel. This should lead to an extension of battery life by up to 15 percent.
MSI has not only bolstered the interior compared to its successful model U100, but also the exterior. The touch pad will be 20 percent larger and the command will allow Chiclete relaxed typing. The hard drive has been increased to today’s standard 250 GB storage space.
However, little has changed in the display. This always triggers still with 1,024 x 600 pixels.
Pine Trail netbook from MSI will be available in late January 2007 in trade.
