Following the Geforce GTX 480M is the new Nvidia Quadro 5000M graphics card, the second mobile Fermi on the market. Like all Quadro models this card for the workstation area is designed. It is particularly high value on CUDA and high-speed video memory, placed in order to render even complex graphics and 3D models.

The Quadro 5000M is for the CUDA CUDA support to 320 cores. Thus it has less capacity than the CUDA GTX 480M with 352 cores. Continues to offer the Quadro 5000M 2 GB GDDR5 memory, which are at a 256-bit wide memory interface connected. Thus it is equal to the GTX 480M colleagues.

The graphics card also supports DirectX 11 and Shader Model 5.0. The power consumption of this workstation Lastengauls amounts to 100 watts. Thus, these Fermi map large notebooks will be subject to what the word “mobile” could really do without.

All in all, can the meaning of the Quadro 5000M, at least at the theoretical values measured, not quite comprehend. A GTX 480M has the same amount of video memory (2 GB DDR5, 256-bit) and new CUDA cores more than Fermi. Terms of price, both cards seem to be about equal to. Surely they should be a faster solution than the older Workstaion Quadro FX cards with DDR3 video memory.

LG is the first time before a netbook, which is equipped with software that will make syncing and Netbook phone easier. On top there is an Intel Atom N475 processor, which will carry the LG X140 at the head of the netbook performance.

Packed the whole thing in a standardized chassis 10.1 inches. The display provides clear 1366×768 pixels and is therefore good for more than one Windows window.

The Intel Atom N475, the other equipment needs, and controls 1.83 GHz processing power, Intel GMA 3150 graphics with support for DDR3 and what a GB is installed. A 320 GB hard drive puts on the necessary storage space.

Of course, not as a draft-N wireless connection is not missing, this is complemented by Bluetooth. The usual USB ports, VGA and audio jacks are found on the side of the LG X140. The chassis also a multi-touch pad sits for gesture control. The 6 cell battery should be able to drive the netbook up to 9 hours.

Now for the software part of the LG X140. The included software called Smart POP allows a number of functions in connection with smartphones. This allows plug-and-play data from phone to the netbook and vice versa, made with mobile broadband calls and text messages sent and Outlook Sync for email use.

Everything together is a powerful package, which is reflected in the price in the form of $ 500. So far, there is still no information about a release date of the LG X140.
