The firm sells Focus3D FARO, the smallest and lightest 3D laser scanner in the world. Five times smaller than previous models, this new stand-alone scanner is capable of reproducing within minutes of three-dimensional images extremely detail-rich environment and complex geometry. The possibilities are endless, but we must recognize that it will be ideal for many applications in the field of preservation of historical sites, breeding crime scenes, 3D documentation of buildings, etc..
In technical terms, this scanner offers a 3D touch screen control with an intuitive interface, SD memory card slot for storing images, and a lithium-ion battery life of 5 hours. The set weighs only 5 kg for a reduced size template (24 × 20x10cm3).
