The new e-book reader of French Bookeen, the Cybook Orizon announced last January, is finally coming: the day after tomorrow it will pre-order on September 25 Bookeen site at a price of 230 euros, a figure acceptable to the discrete characteristics of the new ebook. The Cybook Orizon give it a Sipix ePaper display (instead of the usual e-ink, less sensitive to shocks and more economical in terms of energy) 6-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 167 dpi, 600 x 800p and 16 gray levels, for promise a relaxing and reading soddisfcaenti, WiFi connectivity, 802. 11 b / g / n and Bluetooth 2.1 (no 3G), 2 GB of internal memory, memory card slot, mini USB port and the motion sensor.
The battery promises to read up to 100,000 pages on a single charge and obviously supports the major formats of ebooks and documents including ePub, PDF, TXT, HTML, and FB2.
The size, 189.8 x 125.7 x 7.6 mm, and a weight of 245 grams make it a device portabilissimo and manageable. And now of course the touch screen will seem more natural of the old keys to press (I tried a few days ago the Opus Bookeen and we continually try to push the screen instead of buttons
