ATI Mobility Radeon HD5650

The ATI Mobility Radeon HD5650 is the first DirectX-11 graphics card. We had a 15.6-Zoller at the office, which is sold already with an ATI GPU in the 5xxx series.

The most interesting innovation of the new ATI GPU generation 5 Series is the DirectX11 support. Until now, however, there are only a few game titles that support the new API. But we are assuming that DX11 is faster to enforce than its predecessor. We have tested the DX11 performance of the HD5650 with the benchmark of Stalker: Call of Pripyat (video) and CMR: DIRT 2nd The results you can see the display.

ATI HD5650 achieved 7872 points in 3DMark06 good. 800 points more than its predecessor HD4650. This would correspond to a performance increase of 12%. Greater the difference in 3DMark Vantage is canceled when the HD5650 achieved very good 3442 points. Nearly 1,000 points more than a HD4650. That would be a performance gain of over 30%.
